Studio Cassia

Cassia asked for a studio that felt residential — quiet, considered, lit by daylight. We removed every ceiling, exposed the slab, and laid one continuous oak floor across 6,800 sqft. The office sits on the third floor of a 1990s commercial building. We took possession with a 2.7m floor-to-floor and proceeded to take it back to its raw state — tiles up, false ceiling out, partitions removed. What was left was a slab, four columns and three windows. We then introduced one continuous European oak floor across the entire plate; a single freestanding service core with toilets, kitchen and storage; and a quiet line of low joinery that defines the work zones without ever rising to head height. The result is a single room of 6,800 sqft that reads, somehow, as a home.
